CHRISTMAS OOTD

This post is a tad late because like most people I have been  busy around Christmas time, however I hope you all had a wonderful few days !  This is the outfit I wore on Christmas day. I went with traditional Christmassy colours- green and red with minimal accessories. I paired a forest green  faux fur coat from M&S (which I bought this time last year) with a jewel-encrusted statement necklace. The green of the coat really brought out the emerald colored gems in the necklace, to contrast this I wore a bold vermilion polo-neck top.  Although I was inside all day- it is of course the Great British winter and obviously very, very cold. On the bottom half  I teamed a pair of  leatherette paneled  leggings with some chunky black leather heels from +H&M (very comfy considering the height, well made with beautiful gold hard-ware) , all tied together with my classic black belt. Edgy yet somewhat classy...i hope.

OOTD ~ A SPLASH OF NEON

Today's Outfit Of The Day was mainly intended to keep me warm, but it didn't do a very good job considering the mad winds and downpours. I selected colours from a cold palette- greens, blues blacks and greys. I toughened up the smart jumper and shirt combination with my leather jacket and contrasted the acid wash jeans with my smart leather Chelsea boots. I kept accessories to a minimum with a simple faceted vintage ring. To add a pop of colour to the slightly dreary monotones I added a lime green embellished shirt and a knitted neon beanie from +ASOS . I mixed up the textures with an electric blue bouclė knitted jumper (an absolute bargain from Primark at £7).

OOTD-WINTER PASTELS

I wanted to brighten up a cold December morning by wearing bright green pastels, usually a spring trend, but who says winter pastels are a bad thing?! I put together an outfit based around a printed sweatshirt i bought from romwe.com. The print of the sweatshirt (The Birth Of Venus by Botticelli...ONE OF MY FAVORITE PIECES OF ART!) is bold and colorful and the sweatshirt is also thick and of a good quality- definitely worth the money. I teamed it with a light mint boyfriend-style waffle knit coat, and even though the coat hasn't been made exceptionally well (far from it), its light pastel green complimented the colors of the sweatshirt. I added a pastel peach shirt underneath to give more of a tailored look with simple jeans and converse to make the bottom half more casual- I was only going to college after-all. My classic gold chain and Fossil watch are my go-to accessories.
